Christmas Blessings from H.A.T.S. Haiti

Christmas Blessings from H.A.T.S. Haiti

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2024 from all at Hands Across the Sea-Haiti.

2016 Christmas at the mission

Thank you for all your encouragement, your prayers, and your financial support, during the troubled and difficult year in Haiti during 2023. You helped bring those of the HATS-Haiti Mission safely through the year.

Our school IMKH, as noted in my November newsletter, is continuing to educate our precious students. Despite all the danger and difficulty outside the school, students need an education. Luckner, our school director, is seeing that no matter what is going on outside, no matter what might threaten our area, our school needs to be educating our students and filling their stomachs daily with a hot meal. Thank you Luckner!!!! Thank you to all who sent sponsorship funds and to those who donated funds which enables our school to continue to operate.

Since Luc and I can’t be at the mission again this year with our HATS family for Christmas, I decided to add a few photos of our Christmas in the past in Haiti when we could all be together on the mission site, feeling safe, and celebrating the birth of Jesus. These photos will include Luc as a 2 1/2 month old baby.

Karen’s Haiti Kids – Christmas 2018

Christmas in Haiti 2016

One thing all of us at the HATS mission loved to do before Christmas Day was to give students and families a Love Gift of food, one of the best gifts we could give. Our visitors to HATS mission and our own kids loved to help in the preparation and distribution of these food packages, for which the recipients were always very thankful.

May God bless you all during this Christmas season and may he lead and direct your every step during 2024.

Love, Karen

Thank you Karen for giving us continued hope and these beautiful memories. Thank you Luckner for being a God send to HATS-Haiti. Thank you to everyone who believes that education is a vital part of growth and development. It is the continued gifts from our sponsors that make this (not so small) group of children have some stability in their lives, and hopefully they know that they are not forgotten.

These photos make me very nostalgic, sad, and longing to see all these kids again. Our Christmas spent there was so special to us, I loved the quiet pace….all except trying to get kids to learn their part and get costumes on all of them for the Nativity and concert at Church…..it was anything but quiet and calm! Haha
I am hoping this Christmas, the children will experience quiet, calm and peace, it has been such a horrible 2-3 years of hiding out from the kidnapping, rioting, looting, killing and being hungry and sad.
I just hope JJ, Moise, Dieunel Leica, Josie, Karena, Judel, Anne, Jofky, Sandra, Jonathon, Markenson, Dickieson and Magadela all know how much they are loved and thought of and prayed for these days.
