I am writing today to share some exciting updates!
Media Centre
Hands Across the Sea – Haiti has been featured in many television interviews, radio interviews, videos and articles over the years and it is important to share these on the website. We have created a Media Centre page with links to our In the News listing. Our Media Centre page also includes a contact form for media representatives who may be interested in meeting with us.
Sadly many of the television and radio interviews Karen has done with the CBC are no longer available on the CBC website. As a result we have had to exclude them from this listing so that our readers don’t end up clicking on broken links. We are following up with the CBC in the hopes of getting copies of the interviews that we can them keep hosted locally on our site to ensure we can always list them.
If you know of an article, video, radio interview, television interview or other publication not listed on our page, please drop me a note @ lynn.mckee@hatshaiti.org.
Menu Changes
To accommodate our new Media Centre we needed to juggle the menu. It is important to keep menus simplified and easy to navigate. You will see our main menu now includes:
- Home
- About Us
- Ways to Give
- Get Involved
- Galleries
- Contact
All the pages from our website redesign this summer still exist and should be easy to find given the new structure. You will also notice the Media Centre and Blog are both links at the very top left side of the page. This is a common placement for these types of items. You will also find them both under the About Us menu.
Social Media
We have spread our wings! We have expanded our social media presence to include Instagram, YouTube, and Google+. Hands Across the Sea – Haiti can now be found on the following social media sites:

With all these updates it is possible I may have made a coding boo-boo and something may be broken or not look quite right. If you find any bugs, please drop me a note @ lynn.mckee@hatshaiti.org.
