Thank you to everyone who sponsored a student following our previous posts on February 19 and March 3. Unfortunately our need for sponsors has increased instead of decreasing. Due to unforeseen circumstances, some of our 2015/2016 sponsors are unable to continue their sponsorship into this school year. We now have 74 students seeking sponsors for their 2016-2017 school year.
Your help is greatly needed! Please consider sponsoring one of our 74 students and/or sharing this need with your family, friends and colleagues.
School sponsorship provides an excellent education to children whose families cannot afford the costs of tuition, books and uniforms. Sponsored children receive a high quality education at our safe, well-constructed school campus. In order to help our students achieve their full potential, all students receive a high nutrition drink that provides vitamins, minerals and healthy amino acids at recess. In addition, students are given a healthy, balanced hot meal at the end of the school day.
It costs only $300 per year or $25 per month to sponsor a student from preschool to grade 6. Secondary school sponsorship is $420 per year or $35 per month.
Your sponsorship provides funding for your student’s basic school fees, plus all required textbooks and material for school uniforms (The nutritional support program is covered by separate fundraising initiatives). In order to encourage a sense of responsibility and commitment, parents are responsible for their child’s registration fee.
All sponsors receive a photo of their sponsor child and a letter or drawing from their student. Sponsors who travel to Haiti have the opportunity to meet and spend time with their sponsor child.
