Thank You Texas!

Thank You Texas!

November 21, 2017 Posted by Karen Huxter 4 Comments

Our trip to Texas was an enjoyable and a special time indeed.

The memories we have of our time there will remain with us forever. We received a welcome next to none, renewed friendships with many who had been to HATS-Haiti in the past and met their families, were treated royally, laughed a lot, learned a lot, and know we are welcome back (at least we hope so David, after my getting in trouble), and learned to speak a little differently. Now I can speak Creole with a Newfie accent and use y’all a lot.

Huge thanks to David and family, who opened their home to us and nicely spoiled us. Thanks to Julie and Will and family, for the amount of time and help you gave us. Thanks to the large number of y’all who are already a part of our HATS-Haiti family and who invited us out, made a point of visiting with us, and those who welcomed us into their churches and elsewhere to share. We love y’all all very much.

Y’all come back now!

Karen

I’m so glad I got to meet you and Ti-Luc!! Thank you for sharing with our students and challenging us all to remember that we can’t put God in a box. He’s so much bigger than that! Know y’all are always welcome back to FBC Amarillo!

Of course you are always welcome back in Texas – as long as you bring the true Texan TiLuc back with you.

We enjoyed your time with us so much and we are still hearing comments from the stories of your faithful obedience to the Lord.

So glad you were able to learn to speak a little Texan. Work on a little deeper draw on the ya’ll and you will be good to go!

Blessings to you and HATS – see you soon.
