Madame Joan is Back Home at HATS

Madame Joan is Back Home at HATS

April 18, 2018 Posted by Keith Wight 5 Comments

Well, well, well, look who is back at HATS. It’s Madame Joan. Her ankle is all healed and she is back where she belongs. AND she brought along Msta. Keif as well. Needless to say the kids and the house mothers were delighted to see us both. That was especially true for Joan who hasn’t been back since she broke her ankle while hiking here with the children at the end of November. Lots of hugs, chatting and dancing for our arrival on Sunday.

Welcome home Madame Joan

Leica missed Joan

What are you guys looking at

The children assume since we all live in Canada that we recently saw Mama Karen, Luc and Jocelyn. Unfortunately that didn’t happen. Montreal, Yarmouth and Springdale are not as close as Pont Sonde and St. Marc. They are missed but hopefully enjoying heir spring break from HATS while battling the ice and cold of springtime in Eastern Canada. Meanwhile in Haiti it’s mango season.

Sandra, fresh mangoes right outside our home

It’s raining so cards on the porch

Joan P-DG (part time DG) is now in charge on the compound for the next couple of weeks. She replaces DG (Madame Karen) and Ti-DG (Jocelyn). Should be interesting!

Monday morning and prayers before school

I have already reviewed my job list for the weeks that was left for me by DG. Job #1 is difficult and important. (Or difficult but important). Should be interesting!

Oh the jobs can wait; it?s too hot. Let?s have some play time.

Never a dull moment.
Stay tuned.

~Keith

It is good to read a blog from you again, glad you both are there. I bet the kids are so happy!
I am envious of mango season and I want you to enjoy every one you eat! Don’t think of me here being sad that they are ripe and juicy and sweet and plentiful and I can’t have any.
Enjoy the kids, work hard, go for your early morning walks and especially. Enjoy your mangos!!

Thank-you for your blog and photos Keith, so nice to read up to date news on Haiti again. ..I have missed Jocelyn ‘s blogs but delighted to have her home with us though I know she is missing her family in Haiti. I’m so happy you made it back Joan and that your ankle is better, Take it easy climbing those hills ……The children look so excited to have you all back. What a wonderful ministry ,always in our prayers. God is so good and it’s all about the children! Blessings Wendy JOY
