Looking Forward to Returning Next Year…

Looking Forward to Returning Next Year…

November 29, 2018 Posted by HATS Visitors 2 Comments

Yesterday, Monday, in Haiti was a good day. We had so much fun with the kids and we were so happy to get some work done. There were lots of kids at school yesterday and so Liette, Rob and Yvette were able to finish a large portion of sponsored students photos and letters. Mercy and I went to work in the depot with Karen. We organized and prepared things for the community. Karen is so nice as she says why would I keep extra clothes and shoes here when there is a need by many in the community. We were pleased to see the depot after we finished the work. We also had a trip to the pharmacy where Karen bought 5 bottles of bleach as there has been a shortage of products in the country lately. When we returned home from our outing we went to the Children’s Home where we moved Tifi on her bed outside to the gallery so she could get some sunshine. We played for a while with the kids then left them to finish all their homework so that after dinner we could watch a movie called Ella Enchanted. I brought my computer and we watched it in the Children’s Home. I told them I thought it was a movie everyone would like with sword fighting and kissing, so something for the girls and boys. So the girls said sword fighting was for the girls and kissing for the boys. They loved it and they want to watch something different tonight so perhaps the Grinch.

I am so happy to be back here with the kids especially with TiFi. She is not doing so well and she needs help to sit up and she cannot walk. So any time I get to spend with her is precious. I am constantly praying for her and I know God has a plan for that girl. From the first time I came I knew that she was going to be my friend. Since then she has been what I look forward to the most when coming down here. I was overjoyed to see that she remembered me after a year of being gone and even though she has gone down hill in what she is able to do I still see that loving spirit and her beautiful smile. TiFi has a big personality and understands more than a lot of people think she does. I pray that she will know how precious she is to me and how my whole church loves my reports on her. They too are praying for her.

Looking forward to returning here again next year.

About HATS Visitors

HATS – Haiti encourages individuals and work teams to travel to Haiti to be a part of the work we are doing. Those who come to Haiti are given the opportunity to join in construction projects, visit in the local community, spend time with the children, and minister in church. You can help us in our work for the most needy and most vulnerable members of Haiti’s population. Come be transformed by seeing the need and being a part of meeting that need. Be part of the story
