Words of Thanks are not Enough
Family arrived Wednesday

Words of Thanks are not Enough

December 17, 2018 Posted by Karen Huxter 1 Comment

The four family members, Dickie, Sandra, Jim and Irene arrived the same day Liette and team, who accomplished a great deal at and for our school, left to return to Calgary. Busy profitable times at HATS.

Many things were repaired by this family group. Much was accomplished in the yard, at the church, with Luc’s schooling, in the preparations and delivery of Love Gifts for some of our students, in the office, and also in my computer by Jim. Too, the laughter, fellowship and pranks were very beneficial to me. This will help me keep going until help comes from Keith and Joan. Thank you so very much for all the help in so many important ways.

Everything that was done was very important to the mission and to me.  I must say, however, the help my precious sister gave me in schooling with Luc is the most important of all. I was apprehensive about Luc being able to finish his required subjects for homeschooling for grade 7. Thanks to Sandra’s help daily for two weeks, I now have hope of him covering all the material. To help you understand a little – I am not given any uninterrupted time to be in the classroom with him. He does a lot on his own but he needs help too with some things that are difficult (just ask Sandra.) Whenever I go into the room with Luc I am needed elsewhere. I am constantly called out of his classroom. We get nowhere when I have to keep leaving to deal with other things. This is the norm when I am here without help.

Sandra, I thank you and Luc thanks you. His head really did hurt some times after in depth hours with you in Science and he came out of the class saying his head was fried. I think your head felt the same way at times. You, however, hung in and went back in every morning, allowing me to deal with other things. You saw that this year’s Science 7 was completed. Now he just has to do some review on his own. He has only two lessons in math and a quiz left to finish his Math 7. This he can finish by himself. This week I plan to start History and Geography  7. We will get this all finished!!

You guys, and the team you followed, truly have the HATS-Haiti vision and help keep the mission fully focused and functioning in our motto  ‘It Is All About The Children’.

Thank you. God bless you.

We are all awaiting your return in 2019.
