Quick Update March 27, 2026

March 27, 2026 Posted by Karen Huxter 1 Comment

Greetings to all of HATS-Haiti’s supporters and followers. I’m writing a quick update to let you know how things are and how they have been since my last update. Sadly, there is not much new to report.

The problems are starting to escalate again in our area with the gangs apparently having a different plan at this time. When I say ‘our area’ it means to me Chandel, Coupon, Borel, Deschapelles, Verrettes, which are all within close proximity of each other.

Everything has been operating since we reopened the school at the beginning of December until now. The gangs recently have managed to advance closer to us, and tragically last week, four young men were killed by these gangs. They were killed in a battle trying to defend a section of our area.

Our school continues to function fairly well considering the stress the families and community is under. Your prayers and support for the HATS-Haiti Mission enables us to continue those who are in need.

May God continue to bless you all!

In His Service,

Karen
